.: The Lands :.
There are many different types of landscapes across the lands. It consists of mountains, hills, valleys, rivers, forests, swamps, and so much more. It is a wild place that still has yet to be explored.
There are many different types of landscapes across the lands. It consists of mountains, hills, valleys, rivers, forests, swamps, and so much more. It is a wild place that still has yet to be explored.
Hills
The hills can range from small ant-sized mounds of dirt to huge, hundred-foot hills that take about 30 minutes to climb because of being so steep. Some are grA**y, some are rocky, some are sandy, some are watery. It all depends on the location of the hill.
Plains
The plains. These areas have the worse of storms with no place to hide. The winds can reach the high speeds of a flying Air dragon (which is about as fast as a plane is taking off) and can easily suck up a few trees or obstacles that are standing in its way. These plains are just about as formiddable as the deserts.
Deserts
The deserts of the lands are terrible. They are hot, have no cover, no water reachable by any other race but the dragons who control water, and high hot winds that cause huge sand and dust storms. Animals that live there have adapted to the harsh conditions and those who do not find cover quickly enough might find themselves under a mountain of sand after a sandstorm.
Forests
There are many types of forests around. There are the cool forests that are misty in the morning and like the forests up in the mountains, then there are the coniferous forests, then there are the rainforests. All the forests vary so much that they are clA**ified into different minigroups of their own.
The rainforests are hot and humid. As stated in the name, it rains quite a bit and the storms often dump buckets and buckets of water down. Sometimes, these rainstorms last for days, weeks, and even sometimes months.
Coniferous Forests
These forests contain trees such as pines and conifers. They are the ones that are misty in the morning with drops of dew and are often found up in the mountains. The trees reach seemingly impossible heights and the plants are mossy and leafy.[/ul]
Mountains
The mountains of these lands are deadly. Some reach peaks higher than the faraway land's Mt. Everest. Next to these mountains, Mt. Everest would be a child. The peaks of some of these mountains reach impossible heights and are too high for any being, even the Air dragons, to reach. Others have small peaks lower than the faraway land's Applachian mountains.
Valleys
There are many valleys of many sizes. Some are barely a small dip in the land while others are as deep as something the humans call the Mariana Trench. They can be so mA**ive that one fall could be a being's last or so small that a fall could just end up as a small bump.
Swamps
Swamps in these lands are impossibly humid, even hotter than the desert seemingly. The water vapor rising doesn't help that much either. The plants and animals here are exotic in their own creepy way and have exotic names like the Unifrog with one horn on its forhead.
Water Bodies
There are many types of water bodies. There are lakes, rivers, oceans, streams, waterfalls, and so much more throught these lands that are unknown yet. There are so many known that they had to be seperated into smaller categories.
The rivers here vary greatly. Some are wider than something the humans call the Mississippi from their homeland, and others are mere streams. Some run as fast rapids, others run slower than turtles. It all depends on where the river is located and the landscape around it.
Waterfalls
Waterfalls are beautiful sights. They sparkle and glitter in the sunlight as they rush off of various cliffs and ledges of rock. Some are magnificently huge, falling for a few thousand feet. Others are tiny and small shrimp jump up them. Again, it all depends.
Oceans
Little is known about the oceans of these lands. The humans describe it as going on for seemingly forever in every direction. They say that on some days, it is smooth as glass and ripples only the slightest bit. They say that on other days, it unleashes its full fury and will stop at nothing to destroy everything in its path.
Lakes
The lakes are described as children of the ocean. They are very alike to the oceans, sometimes smooth as glass with small ripples, sometimes unleashing its full fury. The winds help it, but it mostly depends on 'its feelings'.[/ul]
